E.J. Tett has been writing stories since primary school, originally writing anthropomorphic animal stories before moving on to fantasy stories.  She believes in strong female characters and plenty of emotion and action in a story.  Her favourite authors are Robin Hobb, George R.R. Martin and Neil Gaiman.  Although she is also a big fan of Phillip Pullman and Jonathan Stroud.

E.J. Tett's favourite animals are rats, wolves and dragons and she always try to give these animals an appearance in her writing, although there are no rat characters in the Kingdom of Malinas! Maybe some will show up in the next two instalments?!

Other interests of hers include Karate - currently being a blue belt in Wado Ryu, and playing with her two rats, Pancakes and Shae.

The Kingdom of Malinas was originally written when the author was 17, but has been altered since then!

She has had a poem published in the March 09 edition of the webzine 'Aphelion,' a short story entitled 'Club Freak' published in May's Debut magazine, a story entitled 'Delete Contact' published in The Horror Zine and a poem entitled 'Dead and Gone' in Earlyworks Press's Old Magic in a New Age anthology. E.J. Tett also features in 'Casting Shadows,' details of which are on this site.
